Columbus Day Weekend Festivities

Wow, I can not believe that Columbus Day Weekend is just around the corner! Vermont has seen many happening over the past month, some good, some bad. Irene put a bit of a damper on our end of summer, however she is in the past and we are ready for Foliage!
Octobrewfest will take place this Columbus day weekend, at Mt Snow, which is only 1 mile north! There will 30 breweries, and Craft Festival, and of course Scenic Chair lift rides! You can check out the colors of the leaves that New England produces! Enjoy the crisp air of the Green Mountains of Vermont! The warm hospitality of The Doveberry Inn. Cozy up by the fire in the evening, have a great dinner in our warm dining room, and fall into bed!
If you have not experienced Vermont in the fall, you should really give it a try!
What are you waiting for? Book online today!

Pick up a pumpkin at a local farm, or just gaze at the colors surrounding you!

Getting Ready for Fall Colors!

There has been much on the news regarding Southern Vermont, and Wilmington sustaining a large amount of damage from Tropical Storm Irene Flooding. While this is true, it is also true that Vermonters do not stay down. On the night the rain stopped, people were out with trucks and machines to repair impassable roads. Over 60% of the roads that were washed out have been repaired in the last week! That shows just how much determination  we have to have Vermont ready for all our visitors during this busy upcoming foliage season! We, here at the Doveberry Inn, were just fine during the storm. We are anxiously awaiting our visitors and welcome all! If anyone is concerned about coming, please call us. We will put your minds at ease, as well as make you aware of any road detours that may still be in place.
